I think They're called FanBoy 3 (though I might have that wrong) and they're on the junction of Newton Street and Back Piccadilly Cavell Street, just off Piccadilly Gardens. From the very quick look I had a couple of hours ago, they certainly look like a Proper Games Shop. At least four or five full-length bookcases of RPG rule books and supplements; a range of boardgames that includes Monopoly, Axis & Allies and at least one of the Settlers variants (I didn't have time to study the shelves properly) more CCGs than you can shake a stick at, other card games in the Fluxx/Chrononauts vein, miniatures, magazines and other gaming sundries.
I didn't spot any Games Workshop stuff in there, but some people would no doubt regard that as a benefit, and there's a GW store in the Arndale anyhow, so it's probably not worth their while to compete on that front.
They're planning to stay open into the evenings and run CC/war/board/RP games for a small fee (flyer indicates £2-3) with the money contributing towards nibbles and paying GMs for their time (I think)
They've only been open a week, so they won't be able to accept plastic until the UK banking system decides they're not an evil cabal of money-launderers, which may take another week or two to sort out. They seem like a friendly bunch, so I'd recommend that any local gamers drop by and have a look...
[2-days-later update: they ARE called FanBoy 3, and they're on the junction of Newton Street and Cavell Street, not Back Piccadilly. I only missed by about 10 yards...]
