May be of interest to some

While Bruce Dickinson is away attending to the day job's US tour, his temporary stand-in for the next 4-5 weeks of his saturday night rock show on BBC 6 music is Jean Jacques Burnel of The Stranglers. Based on the first half hour of his stint, the playlist is adjusted somewhat as you might expect. Listen via the web site, either now or any time in the week after each show. (Just don't blame me if he suddenly starts playing grindcore five minutes after I post this)

In other beeb-related news, [livejournal.com profile] sbisson points out that they've put the last four years' worth of The Sky At Night on the web.

I thought this (http://www.flyastraeus.com/) was his day job now...

That's his other day job. And sometimes, he combines the two by flying a planeload of people to the gig, playing the gig, then flying them all back again. Which I find somewhat disturbing, in an ill-defined way. I mean, it's just not very rawk \m/, is it?

Oh, but a 757 is decidedly heavy metal...
