In the last couple of days, someone or something at Slashdot has obviously decided that I am the font of all wisdom, since I'm being asked to Moderate/Meta-Moderate posts practically every time I visit the site. Now, I'm flattered, but I like to just READ occasionally, guys.

Two days ago, Eric Meyer stated his position: "Considered Harmful Essays Considered Harmful" It's worth a read.

So yesterday, Jeffrey Zeldman contended that just about everything is considered harmful. Coincidence? I think not. (And I ran out of words in that sentence before I ran out of links.)

[You know that sensation where if you repeat a word or phrase often enough it loses all semantic meaning, you start contemplating it as an abstract set of sounds, and it seems really odd and interesting? Well, I'm now there with "Considered Harmful"]
