...in a country that is now in the "axis of evil"?

Then there's at least one online job-hunting site that doesn't like you.
Starting on Thursday, [monster.com] will remove listings selected from its scroll-down menus -- used when creating or modifying a resume -- that refer to seven countries: Burma/Myanmar, Cuba, Iran, Libya, North Korea, Sudan and Syria.

The article also quotes denials by the company. But if they remove all mention of the countries from the menu tools, and scatter "[country deleted]" all over existing CVs, it's certainly going to create the impression of discrimination. And in many ways, that impression IS discrimination.

I have an Iranian colleague. I'm pretty sure that he left Iran all those years ago because of its present government. So why penalise him? Oh, sorry, he's Iranian, therefore he's <dio>EEEEEEEEEvil</dio>

As detailed in bugzilla bug 134113 it is now just about possible to build Mozilla on Win32 with GCC. Developers no longer need to pay the Microsoft Tax.

It's still got more wrinkles than an elephant, but it's a start.
