Sad Computer Game Geekery, part 1

I've stopped playing Team Fortress Classic.

I first played it over four years ago. I enjoyed the game style, which was much more cerebral than Quake/Quake II. However, in recent months, the number of players populating the servers has been dropping. They're all playing the same 2/3 maps. They're all either very good indeed or completely clueless, with no-one in between. As a result, it stopped being fun, so I stopped playing - I think I've only played about an hour or two in the last 2-3 months. It's now looking unlikely that I'll play it again.

It's a shame, and I note it here because I think I've spent more hours playing TFC than any other game, ever.

Sad computeer Game Geekery, part 2: Jedi Knight II

Having all-but-finished JKII: 'tis fun, once they give you a lightsaber.

Rather too much faffing around on narrow ledges over bottomless pits while snipers take potshots at you from miles away and sudden death without warning for my tastes, but it has Star Wars atmosphere by the bucketload.
