blufiveDownloading the patch for SimCity 4 from the EA games website requires a browser with ActiveX support - Internet Explorer, in other words. Do they even bother to tell you this? Nope, if you use another browser, the "patch" button just sits there and quietly ignores all your mouse-clicks. Grrr.
Why can't they just link to a downladable zip/executable, or use an in-game updater, or SOMETHING? Rather than using a proprietary method that triggers all sorts of warnings for those of us who have IE configured to be slightly more secure than it usually is?
