Well, that complicates things...
The Turkish parliament has failed to approve the deployment of US troops. (BBC)
Although the pure vote count was narrowly in favour (264-250), it didn't get "the required majority of deputies in the chamber". I assume the deputies were listening to their constituents - we could do with some of that around here.
They're going to vote again on Tuesday.
