Fair enough. RAH is a very readable writer - I've read, I think, all his novels, and all his short stories that I could get hold of, and - he's readable. He was also operating from the POV of someone with pre-WWI values who was evidently convinced that he was liberal and forward-thinking. He manages to be consciously anti-racist a lot of the time, but read Farnham's Freehold for a genuinely disturbingly racist novel.
