Paging Dreamberry Wine Subscribers...

[Mark Slater writes:]
If you are a regular purchaser of books from Mike Don's Dreamberry Wine list, then it may be possible you haven't received his latest catalogue due to postal disruption. This is obviously a major problem to Mike who uses snail mail as his primary means of earning a living - and is worried about the fact that he isn't getting his usual volume
of orders as a result. In an attempt to help him out, I've scanned the latest catalogue and posted it as a series of jpgs's [here]

If you DON'T subscribe to DW, then you may want to check it out anyway - it's a catalogue of second hand books - I'm guessing lots of you folks buy books ;)
[Warning, some of Mark's files are a bit on the big side - I've done a quick re-scale, and put copies up here; they're not quite as clear as Mark's originals, but they are less than half the file size]

I figure there may be a few such subscribers reading this, and it can't hurt if anyone else reads it.

I hope you haven't missed this ideal opportunity to try to bring Mark (and Elaine) over to the [light | dark] side.

huh?

Call me dense, but you're just being too oblique and I can't figure out what you're on about :)

[my brain it turn to mush after a day's programming]

You're quite right, I was just being too goddamn clever-clever for my own good.

Working on the assumption — completely flawed, I'm sure — that we LiveJournal users will and should take any opportunity to encourage others to become users, I meant that, since you were posting their request on LJ, you might also have taken the opportunity to get them to join up.

That'll teach me to try to be funny.

Oh, I see. I generally try not to froth too much at my friends about techie things [who are you kidding - gav's friends].

Mark and Elaine are certainly aware of this journal, and [livejournal.com profile] swisstone's (and probably a few others, given how many of my friends list they know IRL) I would happily provide usercodes for them, but so far they've shown zero interest. I'm working on one or two other people, with varying degrees of subtlety (Cal has taken to making pre-emptive negative statements, so I'd better lay of a bit...), but I'll let them make their own decisions.
