I've had a frantic week at work, installing and configuring WebLogic 7.0 on the development server, fixing the bugs thus revealed in our main product, updating procedures and scripts to cope with the change, getting the users onto the new version with minimum disruption, co-ordinating attempts to get a core component of the system working again after we broke it last week, trying to assist as best I could in getting another component back up and running despite bits of it having expired a couple of months ago, attending a half-day strategy meeting, attempting to convince some of my colleagues that documenting code is a good idea, and generally running around like decapitated poultry.
To cap it all, Cal's parents arrived on Thursday for a flying visit, and left this afternoon. I feel more than a little guilty that they barely saw me as I retreated from sight upon getting home each evening, and generally did my best Greta Garbo "I vant to be alone" routine.
After an afternoon's concerted vegetating, I think I'm just about back to my "normal" self.
