hahahaha [sob]

This is funny, in a very depressing sort of way:
According to a requisition last week by the [US] Army Field Support Command [...]
"Increasing military contingencies have created a situation where the capability to produce small calibre ammunition through conventional methods has been fully exercised,"
Translation from military-ese:
The US Army says, "Help! we're running out of bullets!"

Not just running out. Using them faster than they can be made...

'Lay down suppressing fire with the, erm....errr... okay then, just fall back by squads!"

Fall back? When the ground is covered in rocks? They should us the suppressing fire laying under their feet.

I like the idea that all their production is in one location. Now an intelligent fellow who wished to stop the rise of US Imperialism might think a bullet factory probably wouldn't be that hard to blow up.
