Convivial was fun. One of the smallest conventions I've ever attended, it was notable for the fact that most of the membership (including yours truly) appeared to spend most of the convention attending programme items (!)

Dirigibles were raced (and I would have won, if it weren't for those pesky kids!) steam boats built, empires tested, and, By Jove, I was almost the Solution! ([livejournal.com profile] calatrice was the solution)

Even the great British railway network managed to co-operate, getting us all the way to and from Glasgow with only a couple of minor incidents.

When you say smallest, how small? 100 people? 40? 6?

Dirigibles are cool, if slightly unpronounceable.

Hrm. I'd probably say it peaked at 60-70, maybe 80, though a lot of people seemed to only be present for one day. I've mostly only really done Eastercons/Novacons, which are considerably bigger.
